Sources and measurements
Inspect status, configure sources, start and stop acquisition, query retained samples and calculate statistics.
FEATURES · AUTOMATION
Operate the running KymoStudio from Claude Code, Codex or another MCP client. 57 tools connect your assistant to sources, measurements, recordings, charts, traces, hotspots and live parameters.
An assistant can read your firmware, but not what the board actually does. Copying numbers out of a plot into a chat is slow, and it loses the context: which source, which time range, were values lost?
A local MCP server lets your assistant query status, retained samples and statistics, arrange charts, control captures and set parameters – with bounded queries and only the access you grant.

List, create and set device parameters and wait for the device's confirmation – new in 2.7.
Start and stop a recording, open, check, export as CSV and close recordings; plus logs and the display rate for troubleshooting – new in 2.7.
MCP is off by default. Choose read-only access and grant import, export and capture folders.
